Alissia is a "newcomer with some serious skills and impressive co-signs" (Billboard). This young woman had enough talent to have been called to produce, play bass, keys, guitar, write and arrange on one of funk's biggest legend Mr. Bootsy Collins’ latest album "World Wide Funk" - (mostly known for working with James Brown and joining the iconic Funk band "Parliament Funkadelic").
Also know as “Baby-Z”, a name given to her by “Bootzilla” himself, Alissia has been even more in demand for her unique sound and musical maturity. Recently, she has collaborated with music legends and Artists such as Cee-Lo Green, George Clinton, Mark Ronson, Q-Tip, Anderson Paak, Khalid, Havoc (from Mobb Deep), Musiq Soulchild, Big Daddy Kane and Doug E Fresh to name a few.
She even got a call to work with the icon himself, Prince, who noticed Alissia right before his passing.
“I am so grateful to be working with some of my biggest inspirations and Artists I've been looking up to since I was little, it definitely inspires me and pushes me to work harder everyday."
Alissia has recently created her studio “The Spaceship”- “I wanted to create a studio that has the feel and aesthetic of a spaceship. When I’m collaborating with artists, we always go to an unknown destination; it needs to feel good and inspiring to everybody."
Because she is such a music lover, aside from her studio work she also developed a passion for DJing and now took over New York City nightlife and high fashion events.
Alissia is someone artists old and new call upon to breathe fresh air into their music. A true collaborative soul, she explains, “People tend to forget this, but music is NOT a competition. Everybody has a unique sound, everybody has something different to say, we can't compare it. We should always be about sharing what is good and empowering other artists, musicians, producers, or writers. You should never see anybody as a competition because nobody will ever do it like YOU do. “
